A function is one event within your celebration, such as the Mehndi, Nikah, Baraat or Walima. Each function has its own date, venue, dress code, card and link. Later, on Guests & links, you choose which guests are invited to which functions.
Add a function
- 1
Open Functions
Open your invitation, click Details & functions, then the Functions pill.
- 2
Start a new one
Click Add a function. For weddings you can also use the Quick add: chips (for example Dholki, Mayun, Mehndi, Nikah, Baraat, Walima). These fill in the name and a suggested dress code.
- 3
Fill in the details
Enter the Function name, Date and Starts at (both required), and optionally Ends at. Then add the Venue and Address.
- 4
Add the map link
In Google Maps, open the venue, tap Share, copy the link and paste it into Google Maps link. The Find button next to it searches Google Maps for your venue. Guests get one-tap directions.
- 5
Dress code and notes
Add a Dress code and any Notes for guests, such as “Ladies only”, parking or dinner time.
- 6
Save
Click Add function. Its card is made straight away using your design. You can find it under Design & media.
Edit, reorder or delete
- Edit opens the same form. Click Save function and that function's card updates.
- Use the up and down arrows beside a function's name to change its order.
- Fine-tune card opens that function's card in the editor.
- Delete removes the function and its card. Your invitation always needs at least one function.
Function links
When you edit a function, you'll see its Function link. This link shows only that function, which is useful for a Mehndi-only WhatsApp group. You can change the end of the link, but any copies you've already sent will stop working.
